Details

The components and configuration of the busway with molded insulation are determined by the installation drawing of the route, developed for a specific facility. According to the specification, the molded busway includes sections of various configurations up to 10 meters long, joint sleeves, busbars, and compensators for connecting to generator terminals, transformers, and switchgear cabinets. The busway can also be equipped with current transformers, voltage transformers, disconnectors, surge arresters (OПН), and protective covers to safeguard connection points to adjacent electrical equipment.

A busway section consists of an aluminum or copper conductive busbar (1) of circular cross-section, covered with a layer of solid insulation (3) of varying thickness depending on the voltage level. Inside this layer are semiconductive layers (2) and a grounding layer (4). Busway insulation for voltages up to 1200 V does not include grounding or semiconductive layers. At the ends of the sections, contacts (5) are provided with holes for bolted connections between sections and to electrical equipment.

The bus duct can additionally be supplied with protective covers to safeguard connections between the bus duct and generator terminals, power transformers, and switchgear cabinets; current and voltage transformers, disconnectors, and surge arresters, with types and quantities determined for each specific facility according to the project organization's technical specifications.

Upon customer request, the supply package may also include:

  • cabinets with measuring transformers, surge arresters, and terminal clamps for cable connections;
  • spare parts;
  • special tools;
  • accessories according to the ZIP list.

The busway is delivered to sites as a high factory-ready product. The delivery set, in accordance with the design documentation, for a specific site includes:

  • busway sections;
  • joint sleeves;
  • bush compensators for connecting sections and linking the busway to equipment;
  • mounting elements for securing the busway to building structures and hardware.

The accompanying documentation includes:

  • certificate;
  • operation manual;
  • installation instructions;
  • assembly drawings of busway routes;
  • packing list;
  • warranty certificate.

Busway components are packed in wooden crates according to the design documentation. Sections may also be delivered unpacked on pallets with end protection. Separately delivered small assembly units, parts, and fasteners are packed in wooden crates.
