Details

The components and configuration of the busbar with cast insulation are determined by the installation drawing of the route, developed for a specific facility. According to the assignment, the cast busbar set includes sections of various configurations up to 10 meters in length, connecting joints, busbars, and compensators for connection to generator terminals, transformers, and switchgear cabinets. The busbar can also be equipped with current transformers, voltage transformers, disconnectors, surge arresters, and protective covers for safeguarding connection points to adjacent electrical equipment.

A busbar section consists of an aluminum or copper conductive bus (1) with a circular cross-section, covered with a layer of solid insulation (3) of varying thickness depending on the voltage level. Inside this layer are semiconducting layers (2) and a grounding layer (4). The insulation layer of a busbar rated up to 1200 V does not contain grounding or semiconducting layers. At the ends of the sections are contacts (5), which have holes for bolted connection of the sections to each other and to electrical equipment. Within the project framework, the company «RTK-ELECTRO» manufactured a batch of TPL busbars with RIP insulation. The modern TPL busbar will be installed from the main terminals of the turbo generator to the disconnector, as well as from the disconnector to the wall passage. Recently, the batch of busbars was shipped to the Sterlitamak CHP together with a kit for fire-resistant passage of the busbar through wall partitions and ceilings.

The busbar can additionally be equipped with protective covers to safeguard the connection of the busbar with generator terminals, power transformers, and switchgear cabinets; current and voltage transformers, disconnectors, surge arresters, the types and quantities of which for a specific facility are determined by the technical assignment from the design organization.

Upon the customer's request, the delivery set may also include:

  • cabinets with measuring transformers, surge arresters, and terminal clamps for cable connections;
  • spare parts;
  • special tools;
  • accessories according to the ZIP list.

The busbar is delivered to facilities as a high factory-ready product. According to the design documentation, the delivery set for a specific facility includes:

  • busbar sections;
  • connecting joints;
  • busbar compensators for connecting sections and connecting the busbar to equipment;
  • busbar mounting elements to building structures and fasteners.

The accompanying documentation includes:

  • passport;
  • operation manual;
  • installation instructions;
  • assembly drawings of busbar routes;
  • packing list;
  • warranty certificate.

Busbar components are packed in wooden crates according to the design documentation. It is permissible to supply busbar sections without packaging, on pallets, with protection of section ends. Separately supplied small assembly units, parts, and fasteners are packed in wooden crates.
