RTK-ELECTRO manufactured TPLE cable buses for Mamakanskaya HPP
The company «RTK-ELECTRO» produced the first batch of TPL and TPLE busways for the Mamakan HPP (Irkutsk Region). The equipment will be put into operation in 2026.
The first shipment includes 60 meters of phase-isolated busways for hydro unit GG-2. The modern cast-insulated products will connect the generator terminals to the power transformer and GRU cells. The set is supplemented with current transformers, protective covers, and elements for installation in walls and between floors.
By 2030, the Mamakan HPP plans to replace four Kaplan hydro units with a capacity of 21.5 MW each. «RTK-ELECTRO» will produce sets of phase-isolated busways totaling 230 meters in various climate versions: UHL1 (for outdoor use) and U3 (for indoor use). The use of such compact cast equipment will allow the HPP to be modernized without reconstruction and increase the station’s capacity to 108 MW.
The Mamakan HPP is the first hydroelectric power station built in the permafrost zone. The HPP is located on the Mamakan River near the settlement of Mamakan, ten kilometers from the city of Bodaybo in the Irkutsk Region. The installed capacity of the HPP is 86 MW, with an average annual output of 356 million kWh. The HPP provides electricity to the Bodaybinsky and Mamsko-Chuysky districts of the Irkutsk Region. The electricity from the HPP has enabled the development of new deposits and the advancement of gold mining technologies.
