RTK-ELECTRO provided technological equipment for a strategic hydroelectric power station in Ecuador

Molded busway TKLN, produced by «RTK-ELECTRO» (part of the NEC Industrial Group), became an important component of the largest hydroelectric project «Toachi Pilaton» in Ecuador. The equipment provides power for the auxiliary needs of the Ayurikin station – one of the key facilities in the hydroelectric cascade.

The installed length of the busway was 369 meters. During the design, special attention was paid to maintaining an acceptable voltage drop at the end of the line. An innovative solution was the installation of the main part of the busway in a tunnel drilled into rock. To ensure reliability and operational safety, special mounting systems were developed and implemented.

The «Toachi Pilaton» hydroelectric project is a large-scale construction that includes two key hydroelectric plants: «Sarapujo» and «Ayurikin». The complex uses water resources from the Pilaton and Toachi rivers and covers three provinces of Ecuador: Pichincha, Santo Domingo, and Mejia. The cascade includes eight facilities with a total installed capacity of 254.53 MW, which will significantly improve the country's energy balance. The project is of strategic importance for the state energy policy. Recently, the site was visited by the Minister of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources of Ecuador, Octaviano Antonio Gonzales Savinovich.

The company «RTK-ELECTRO» continues to contribute to the development of modern energy solutions, confirming the high quality and technological advancement of its products at the international level.
