RTK-ELECTRO has supplied cable buses for a new metro substation in St.Petersburg

The company «RTK-ELEKTRO» (part of the «NEC» Group) has successfully completed the delivery of equipment and begun the installation of busways for the under-construction 35 kV mast-type compact transformer substation (KTPM) “Frunzensky” on the Lakhtinsko-Pravoberezhnaia metro line in Saint Petersburg.

As part of the project, the company supplied modern cast-insulated busways (TPL), used for transmitting electricity between the power transformer terminals and the switchgear cells:

  • TPLA-35-630-128 U3 – rated voltage 35 kV, total length 35 meters;
  • TPLA-10-2000-161 U3 – rated voltage 10 kV, total length 42 meters.

Cast-insulated busways ensure compact and safe organization of electrical connections at medium- and high-voltage power facilities. The design prevents exposure of live parts, provides high mechanical strength and resistance to external impacts, and requires no maintenance. This reduces operational costs and increases industrial safety.
